Painstakingly hand-made with intricate detail by the famous master, Lin Wei Dong, in the historical porcelain heaven, Foshan, Guangdong Province, China, this porcelain figurine depicts Zhao Jun, one of the Four Beauties of ancient China. Alive during the Western Han Era (206BC - 8AD), Zhao Jun was forced into an odious marriage by Emperor Yuan. On her way to her new home, Zhao Jun sang a sorrowful melody on her pipa. So profound was her grief and so beautiful was her voice that birds fell from the sky out of sadness.

Care
Always remember that porcelain and other types of ceramics are delicate and fragile, so careful maintenance is important. Dust can be removed with a microfiber cloth. Warm water combined with mild soap may also be used to remove smears, finger prints, and other grime. Make sure not to use hot water, as this can cause damage. You may also use a soft bristled brush to clean tiny crevices.
